- From as far back as I can remember, which is an embarrassingly long time (if memory serves), a dependable group of nay-sayers have been insisting that television and the media in general is in a state of crisis.
- It’s true that much of the print media – and especially newspapers – is facing a falling readership, although it’s by no means certain that these figures are doomed to reach zero.
- What’s more likely is that the pattern of consumption, and subsequent market share of competing media, is undergoing a critical re-adjustment. However the process of communication remains vital – especially (dare I say) for the sort of technical stuff that I and others waffle on about.
